

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Joaquim and Mary (Perry) Cabral, she was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth.
Mrs. Brodeur worked for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union beginning her career as an organizer, business agent and retiring as General Manager in 1988.
Lil enjoyed spending summers at Horseneck Beach, loved all sports and was an active supporter of the Democratic Party.
Surviving in addition to her husband is a son, Philip R. Brodeur and his wife Ginger of Leyden, MA; a daughter, Laurie Grabczyk of New Bedford; a sister, Jacqueline Galligo of Dartmouth; a brother, John Cabral and his wife Maureen of Tiverton, RI; four grandchildren, Philip J. Brodeur of Leyden, Matthew K. Brodeur of Warwick, MA, Andrew Grabczyk of Fall River and Ericka Grabczyk of New Bedford; a great grandson, Andrew Grabczyk; and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Natalie Warner, Doris Marchand and Roger Cabral.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 4-7pm in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
