

Born in New Bedford, the only daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy (Green) Brehaut, she grew up and she spent most of her life in Dartmouth.
Marilyn graduated from Dartmouth High School in 1970 and worked for several different local transportation companies, and later worked as the Manager at CV General Store in Dartmouth, until her declining health forced her to retire in 2009. She was a former member of the Dartmouth Grange. She loved to bake and cook for her family and spend time with her granddaughters, Aleah and Amani. Marilyn enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, and sewing. She used these skills to donate many items for the homeless.
In addition to her husband Gary, she is survived by their daughter, Melissa Ann Ramos and her husband Duane of Dartmouth; two grandchildren, Aleah and Amani Ramos of Dartmouth; three brothers, Ernie Brehaut and his wife Alice of AZ, Kenneth Brehaut and his wife Terry of Dartmouth, and Peter Brehaut and Kathy of Dartmouth; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Brehaut of Dartmouth, and Linda Morango and her husband Frank of Bloomfield, New Jersey; brother-in-law Robert Pires and his wife Robin of New Bedford; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren. Also she leaves many, many close friends that were like family to her. She was the sister of the late Harry Brehaut and Thomas Brehaut.
Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service will be Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 9 am in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 351 Elm St., Dartmouth. Interment will be private.
