Mary Frances Terpeny

Born in Dartmouth, a daughter of the late Joseph S. and Estella (Gracia) Bettencourt, she was a lifelong Dartmouth resident. She was a dedicated, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. For many years she was a legal secretary and local realtor. She enjoyed playing bridge, crossword puzzles and nature walks with her dear friend Orren Robbins.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn Gifford and her husband Kenneth of Dartmouth and a son, Mark Terpeny and his wife Jody of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Paul Gifford, Heather Terpeny and her husband Robert DeCampos and Jessica Terpeny; and a great-grandchild Cole Gifford; a sister in-law, Cecile Bettencourt of FL. She was the sister of the late Joseph S. Bettencourt, Jr.

Mary’s funeral mass will be held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 10:00AM in St. Mary’s Church, 783 Dartmouth Street, Dartmouth. Relatives and friends invited. Arrangements are in the care of WARING-SULLIVAN HOME at DARTMOUTH, 230 Russells Mills Road, Dartmouth. Burial will be held at a later date.
