Alice Jean (Martino) Andrews

Jean was the daughter of Dominic and Alice (Kitowicz) Martino. Born in Marlborough, MA, she was raised in Maynard, MA. After high school graduation, she attended the Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing in Boston where she became a registered nurse. Alice had a deeply fulfilling, lifelong career in nursing. She passed on her love of nursing to her family, many of whom have followed in her footsteps.

Jean was very family-oriented, and her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She attended all her children’s sporting events and as she was able to in her later years, attended her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. Nothing made Jean happier than when her children and grandchildren called her to give her an update on their lives. She also enjoyed family gatherings and loved nothing more than playing a game of cards with everyone. Jean had a deep devotion to her family and siblings. She would call her sister daily and together they would watch the classic game show "Jeopardy” answering the questions many times before the contestants.

In addition to her husband Kenneth, Jean is predeceased by her brother William Martino. She is survived by her adored children, her son Ken (Alisa) Andrews of Hudson, MA, daughters Karen (Matt) Dynes of New Castle, IN and Kelly (David) DeSimone of Mashpee, MA, her cherished grandchildren Preston, Leah, Trey, Adriana and Ava, her brothers Ralph (Helen) Martino of Marlborough, MA, Richard (Linda) Martino of West Boylston, MA and sister Judith (the late Bruce) MacDonald of Marlborough, MA.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 5th, 2025, at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara St., South Yarmouth, MA. A private burial will follow.
