Known for his friendly personality and loving nature, his spirit was marked by kindness, generosity and a wonderful sense of humor. He brought joy with his ever-present smile and the playful nicknames he devised for those around him.
Remi had a passion for chess, animals, and his beloved Vasco da Gama soccer club. Yet, above all, his greatest joy was his family. He embraced his roles as a son, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, with deep love and dedication.
Born on April 28, 1952, in Brazil, Remi moved to the United States in 1990 and made Yarmouth his home in 1991. He is survived by his two sons, Felipe; Gabriel, his wife Marcelli, and their son David; his sister Celina; and many dear cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Friends are invited to join the family for visiting hours on Tuesday, November 19, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Doane, Beal, and Ames Funeral Home at 729 Route 134, South Dennis. Services will be private. In keeping with his wishes, Remi will be laid to rest in his hometown of Curitibanos, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
In honor of Remi’s memory, the family kindly suggests donations to the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation in lieu of flowers.
