Avis de décès de Bruce A. Neske
AUX SOINS DE

Doane Beal & Ames

Bruce A. Neske, 76, of Brewster, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at the McCarthy Center in Sandwich, Massachusetts in the company of his loving son Daniel Neske on Thursday, October 5, 2023, after a long and courageous struggle with cancer.

Born and raised in Worcester, Bruce was the son of Walter and Grayce (Manson) Neske. He graduated from South High and then attended the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut. In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne McCormick. In June 1969, Bruce graduated with a degree in English with a minor in Secondary Education. He enlisted in the United States Air Force shortly after. He spent most of his enlistment at Loring Air Force Base in Limestone, Maine, and served a thirteen-month tour at Osan Air Base in South Korea.

Bruce and Sue’s oldest son, Jonathan was born in 1970 at Loring. Bruce and Sue’s second son, Daniel, was born in 1976 After living in California and various locations in suburban Boston, Bruce settled with his family in Wrentham, Massachusetts. While in Wrentham, in 1982, Bruce earned an MBA from Providence College. Over the years, Bruce and Sue hosted several foreign exchange students. Bruce maintained contact with several students and was very fond of Alexander, Giovanni, Francesca, and Sofia.

In 1993, Bruce took an assignment with NYNEX in London, England, and lived in London for four years. Bruce and his wife traveled extensively in Europe and to parts of Africa. Bruce and Sue returned to the United States where his assignments with NYNEX, Bell Atlantic, and finally Verizon took him to Boston, Washington, DC, Cape Cod, and South Carolina. After retiring, Bruce and Sue moved back to Cape Cod in 2009. Sadly, Sue, his wife, partner, and best friend for forty-three years passed away in 2010 from cancer.

In his free time, Bruce enjoyed reading, walking (running in his younger years), painting, and visiting art museums and galleries. He especially cherished fishing and boating on Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound with his son Daniel. Above all else, Bruce adored his grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Bruce is survived by and will be deeply missed by his sons Jonathan Neske of Lancaster, New Hampshire; Daniel Neske and his wife Christine and their children Sophia and Olivia of West Yarmouth, Massachusetts; and his brother Gary Neske and his two nephews. Bruce also leaves behind his dear friend Kathleen Crockett.
