Dorothy E. Alexander "Dot"

Dorothy E. Alexander "Dot", 90, of East Dennis died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, May 8, 2017. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Thomas and Catherine (Urquhart) Barbour, she lived in Madison, NJ before moving to East Dennis, MA 34 years ago.

Dot was an avid reader and prior library volunteer. She was a member of the East Dennis Ladies Aid Society. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling, especially trips to Bermuda.

Dot is predeceased by her adored son-in-law Andrew LoSapio (2015). She is survived by her devoted husband of over 70 years Harvey Alexander, Jr. and her loving children Rev. Donald (Karen) Alexander of East Dennis, daughter Jane LoSapio of Dennis, and Glenn (Dina) Alexander of Dennis. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Matthew LoSapio (fiancé Sabrina Higgins), Jeremiah Alexander (companion Katie Luxa), Adrienne (Zach) Seliga Christopher LoSapio, Nicholas LoSapio (fiancé Dawn Mosiello), Benjamin (Jenna) Alexander, Dane Alexander, Ethan Alexander, Noah Alexander, Arabella Alexander and Zoe Alexander.

Visiting hours will take place Friday, May 12, 2017 from 10am to 12noon followed by a 12noon service at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home 729 Route 134 S. Dennis, MA 02660 Burial will follow in Quivet Cemetery in East Dennis.
