Elizabeth Pietrowski

Born on December 12,1922 in Boston, MA, where she grew up until moving to Cape Cod in 1969. Betty worked at Dennis Yarmouth high school for many years, cooking and serving school lunches to students. Betty also worked at Angelo’s Supermarket bakery.

Betty was an avid reader and always well read on current events, politics and everything Boston Sports. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of the Cape parish in Brewster, MA and known for her compassion, warmth, and sense of humor. Most of all, her interest in her grandchildren and all of their friends.

She is survived by her son Michael Pietrowski of Easton, MA, son Peter Pietrowski, his wife Mary, and grandson Peter of Quincy, MA. She leaves her daughter-in-law Kathi and their four children; Carrie Pietrowski, Amanda & David McSharry, Tim & Amber Pietrowski, Katie Pietrowski, and predeceased by her son Joseph John Pietrowski (Ski). She also leaves her two great granddaughters, Shae & Brooke McSharry whom she loved “The Whole Wide World.” She was predeceased by her younger brother, Jerry Bresnahan, and is survived by her sister-in-law Joann Bresnahan.

Betty treasured her years as Nana, and everyone who is blessed to have known her will miss her love, patience, & kindness she had for them.

Visiting hours will be held Monday February 10th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Doan Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11th at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 428 Stony Brook Road, Brewster, MA.

In lieu of flowers, one may make a donation in her memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
