
Frances E. (Stobbart) McKenzie passed away August 11, 2012 at Golden Living Center in Attleboro. She was born October 23, 1924 in Milford, the daughter of John William Stobbart II and Cherria Reynolds. She graduated from Wrentham High School and Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing.
Following graduation, Frances was a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, where she was Head Nurse in the Maternity Ward. Following her retirement from Sturdy in 1985, Frances moved to Centerville and continued to work at the Cape Regency Nursing Home on a part time basis.
Frances was a devoted, loving mother and grandmother, bringing harmony to the world and to her family. She enjoyed watching the Red Sox, quilting, doing crossword puzzles, playing a variety of card games and bingo
Frances is survived by her five children: Janice Siegel, and her husband Paul of Ridgefield CT, Kenneth and his wife Linda, of Attleboro, Richard and his wife Patricia of Dennis, John (Jack) and his wife Maureen Casey of Greenfield, and Donna Cronin and her husband Dennis, of Attleboro. Mrs. McKenzie is also survived by her brother, George Stobbart of Walpole, twelve grandchildren: Kelly, Jaime, Stacey, Jesse, Daniel, Ross, Matthew, Megan, Ryan, Morgan, Michael and Taylor; and four great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Gavin, Logan and Henry.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Stobbart and Cherra Willey; a brother, John William Stobbart III; and her husband of 62 years, Kenneth in 2010.
A private celebration of her life and burial will take place at the convenience of her family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472
