Born in Norwich CT on March 7, 1933, he was the son of the late Francis J. McGrath Sr. and the late Catherine M. (Reynolds) McGrath.
He was a loving father, caring husband and good person. He was a graduate of Pratt high school (Essex CT), The University of New Haven, and was also a Korea veteran. He had a career as contract administrator for the Navy at Sikorsky Aircraft, and also managed and operated a movie theatre in Connecticut before eventually retiring and moving to Cape Cod.
He is survived by his wife, Nerina McGrath; his son Francis J. McGrath, III; his two sisters, Kerry Kaufman and Patricia Fabrizio, and their families.
Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at St. Pius X Church, 5 Barbara Street (off Station Avenue), South Yarmouth, MA 02664.
Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
