Joan M. Provost

Born in Melrose, she was the daughter of George and Marion (Brown) Curley. She moved to Woburn in 1958 and resided there until she and her husband retired to Cape Cod in 1992.

While living in Woburn, Joan was an active supporter of Pop Warner and Little League. Joan loved watching New England sports, especially her beloved Patriots, playing cards with her family and was always looking for a great find at local yard sales.

Preceding her in death was her sister Marion (Curley) Hogan.

Joan leaves behind her sons, Charles H and Carl J Provost Jr. of Woburn, her daughters, Linda J Ouellette and her husband, Frank of Billerica, and Patricia A Monahan of Brewster. She was also the beloved grandmother of Michelle (Ouellette) Coleman and her husband David, Kimberly (Ouellette) Williams, C. Joseph Provost III, Tracey (Provost)White and her husband Marshall, Gina Provost, Casey , John and Michael Monahan and Great Grandmother “Nana G” to Matthew and Abby Coleman, Sadie, Arlo and Scout White, Kiley Williams and Alexia, Jeremy and Logan Provost. She also leaves behind her dearest friend, Eleanor Corsetti Roche.

The funeral mass will be held at 11AM Wednesday, November 16 at Our Lady of Cape Church, Brewster followed by interment at the Bourne National Cemetery. In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
