

Nancy A. (Cusick) Kesseli, 87, of South Dennis MA, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2015 at home. Born and raised in Worcester, Nancy was the daughter of Anthony and Anne (Wallent) Cusick. Nancy raised her family and lived for many years in Auburn, MA before permanently moving to Cape Cod. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert T. Kesseli.
She leaves her children, Steven T. Kesseli and his wife Leslie of Acushnet, MA, Mary Hatch and her husband Shawn of Shrewsbury, MA and Carolyn DiDonato and her husband Sandro of Charlton, MA. Nancy leaves her grand-daughters; Sarah Kesseli, Katie Kesseli, Kelly Alys Hakala, Maria DiDonato, Samantha DiDonato, Brooke Michaud and her husband Russell and Liisa Walsh and a great grand-daughter Noella Michaud.
Nancy also leaves her brother Leonard Cusick and his wife Jean, a sister Janice Costa and her husband Ernest, brothers in law Carl Kesseli and his wife Sally and John Kesseli and his wife Mary and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her brother in law Philip Kesseli and his wife Donna predeceased her.
Nancy graduated from Classical High School in Worcester, MA in 1946 and graduated from the College of New Rochelle in New Rochelle, NY in 1950.
While raising her family Nancy was involved in CNR Alumni and was a recipient of the Ursula Laurus Award. Further activities included, Worcester Craft Center, Pernet / Little Sisters of the Assumption, Hahnemann Hospital Volunteer, Rotary Ann’s, C.C.D at St. Joseph’s Church in Auburn, the P.E O., FISH and the International Center for international guests.
Throughout her life Nancy spent time at Cape Cod permanently moving there in the late 1990’s. She continued with a very active schedule including her involvement in the P.E.O Chapter AJ, was a member of the Dennis Garden Committee, book club and a docent volunteer at the Sandwich Glass Museum. She had a special knowledge in Antique glass and held a dealer’s license. Nancy loved Cape Cod and was especially fond of going to the beach with her family and exposing her family to all that the Cape has to offer from the ocean, flowers and wildlife. One of the special things she enjoyed was going for ice cream at the many ice cream parlors across the Cape.
Nancy and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling and were fortunate to go to many places in Europe as well as Australia, New Zealand and Brazil. She enjoyed Theater, Music, Good Food, Art, Gardening, Family and Friends.
A Funeral Mass celebrating Nancy’s life will be held at Our Lady of the Cape Church, 468 Stony Brook Road, Brewster, MA, on Tuesday June 30, at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. There are no Calling Hours. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting that donations be made out to P.E.O Chapter AJ, c/o of Jean Stout, P.O. Box 391, 41 Seaside Ave., Dennis, MA 02638.
