Pauline M Hanlon McLaughlin

The joy in her life was her children and grandchildren who found no greater pleasure than to gather together at her home on the Cape. Pauline was a very special mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was the most selfless person that any of us have ever known. We are all so blessed to have had her in our lives.

Pauline was the beloved wife of the late Francis Joseph McLaughlin. She was the loving mother of Michael F. McLaughlin and his wife Mary Jane of Woburn, MA; Joseph J. McLaughlin and his wife Diane of Brewster, MA; William E. McLaughlin and his wife Lynn of Guilford, CT; Susan M. MacLeod and her husband William of Yarmouth Port, MA; and Marcia A. Quatieri and her husband Frank of Billerica, MA. She was the loving “Grammy” to Joseph and Robert Mclaughlin, Michael and Daniel McLaughlin, Sarah Quatieri, Meghan MacLeod, and Shauna, Kayley and Molly McLaughlin.

Pauline was born in Medford, MA the daughter of the late James J. and Ellen A. (Whelan) Hanlon. She is sister of James Hanlon of Medford, MA; Mary Finnegan of Malden, MA; John Hanlon of Austin, TX; William Hanlon of Vail, CO; and the late Judith Brown of Malden, MA. She is also survived by close friend Doris Dowling of Malden, MA.

Visiting hours will be from 4 to 8p.m. on Friday, February 3rd at Doane, Beal & Ames, 729 Route 134, South Dennis, MA.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 4th at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Parish, 246 Main Street, West Harwich, MA 02671. Interment to follow at Brewster Cemetery, Brewster, MA.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101-2151.
