Thomas P. Gallagher

YARMOUTHPORT- It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Thomas P. "Tom" Gallagher of Yarmouthport, MA on March 12, 2021 at the age of 79 years. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Jean (Grenier) Gallagher.

Born in Taunton, MA, he was a son of the late William H. and Lillian G. (Corrigan) Gallagher. Tom was a graduate of Taunton High School, and then went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the United States Army. After the Army, Tom went on to work as an Equipment Installer for Verizon for 38 years.

Tom was a former member of the Taunton YMCA, the Elks, and the Taunton City Council. Above all, his most treasured job was that of father to his two children and Papa to his four grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Tom is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Susan Holmes and her husband Thomas, as well as their children, Timothy and Jill Holmes.

Tom is also survived by his son, Gregory Gallagher and his wife Judy of VA, as well as their children Joseph and Jane Gallagher; and his siblings, Rosemary Hunter and Robert Gallagher.

Tom was predeceased by his brothers, Francis, William, and Timothy Gallagher.
