

William Sears passed away peacefully on Monday October 20, 2025, at his home. Billy was born and raised in Dennis; he graduated from Dennis Yarmouth High School in 1964. After high school he enlisted in the United States Navy. Bill was a Naval Special Forces Combat Veteran, serving our country where he did two tours in the Vietnam War, later receiving an honorable discharge.
Bill entered into his family business and partnered with his brother Bob at Arthur Sears and Sons. In the late 1980s Bill was the one of the owners of the Northside Marina on Sesuit Harbor in East Dennis. Bill loved spending summer nights with his wife Shirley on their boat, a 26 ft Formula named Tuff Nuff. Bill proudly retired from the Boston Super Fund Site, the Big Dig as a heavy crane operator.
Bill adored spending time with all of his family and friends. He enjoyed long motorcycle rides and snowmobile trips up north as far as Canada. Another favorite sport of Bill's was hunting.
He is survived by his two daughters Pam Daubert and her husband Greg of Yarmouthport, and Dawn Sears of Dennis. He is also survived by his two sisters June and Jean, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley, his son William Arthur Sears (Bum), his parents Arthur Sr. and Gladys, and his brother Bob Sears.
There will be a celebration of his life on November 8, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at The Sea Dog Restaurant, 23 Whites Path South Yarmouth, Ma.
