William "Ken" Ward

William "Ken" Ward, 86, of West Yarmouth, formerly of Dennisport, died on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Cape Cod Hospital. Ken was born and raised in Newton, MA by his late parents John and Delia (Ferguson) Ward.

Ken was a proud member U.S. Army Korean War veteran. After his service he enjoyed traveling and cruises with friends. Ken lived in Brookline and worked at St. Paul's Cathedral for several years and then at Polaroid Company. In 1991, he moved to Cape Cod and settled in Dennisport where he worked for Benny's Hardware. He loved to read and was an avid classical music fan. Ken was also very artistic. He loved to draw and was honored to have 2 of his paintings displayed in 2016 at the Cape Cod Art Association in Barnstable.

Ken was a loving cousin to Margaret Reynolds and adored second cousin to Stephen Reynolds (and his wife Rosemary), Wendy Addo (and her husband Lionel), the late Jackie Tolman (and her husband Dennis), Sheryl MacDonald (and her husband Ken), Nancy Reynolds, Amy Downey and Joyce Watson.

A celebration of life and memorial visitation will be held in Ken's honor on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 10am to 12noon at Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Route 134, S. Dennis, MA 02660.
