Bert W Maudie

Maudie, Bert W., age 83 years, of St. Francis, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 19, 2014. He is survived by his beloved wife Carol Maudie (nee Petura) of 60 years; dear Father of Mary Louise (Jeffrey) Dean, Anna Marie Ross, Frank (Suk) Maudie, Edward (Sharon) Maudie, Diane (Robert) Wegner, and Christine (Gerald) Witherspoon; proud Grandfather of Nicolas (Corey), Matthew (Amy), Kristen (Jason), Jenna, Dylan, Brian, Paige, Jacob, Alex, Kendal (Chris), Angela, and Halle; Great-grandfather of Dominic, Keller, Wesley, and Payton. He was preceded in death by his loving daughter Theresa. Also survived by his sister Margie of Pennsylvania and other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 11:00AM. Visitation Saturday at church from 9:00AM until time of service.

Bert, a Korean War veteran, was awarded the Army’s Distinguished Service Cross for heroism, the Combat Infantry Badge, and earned the Purple Heart. He retired from Interstate Brands Corporation. A special thanks to the VA Medical Center and Zilber Hospice for the wonderful care. In lieu of flowers donations to Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish or Zilber Hospice appreciated.
