After a brave and determined fight against breast cancer, Loa found peace on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the age of 68. She will be reunited with her beloved parents, Joseph and Elizabeth. She is survived by Ray, her best friend and loving husband of nearly 48 years; devoted daughters: Kelly (Jon) Czerwinski and Jennifer Bosserman and adoring granddaughters: Alyssa and Jenna. Dear sister of Lee (Joyce) Gorski, Lea (Henry) Wink and Lyn (Ron) Greth. Further survived by special mother, Dorothy Bosserman, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
Loa retired in 2010, after 42 years of kind and compassionate care as an R.N. in the ICU at St Luke's South Shore and she received the same compassionate care from all the staff on 2N as a patient. Special thanks to Dr Howard.
During her career, Loa's dedicated nursing spirit was an inspiration to many as we have continually heard from her peers. She never stopped learning and teaching within her profession and truly loved being a nurse.
Loa is also known for being a gifted seamstress, an ultimate crafter, a creative gardener and forever a bookworm. She thoroughly enjoyed being Gramma and planning imaginative projects and adventures. She will be dearly missed, but the endless memories she created will sustain us for the rest of our lives.
Visitation Saturday, May 26, 10:00-11:00AM at South Milwaukee United Methodist Church (1327 Marshall Av, South Milwaukee) with Memorial Service 11:00AM. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to South Milwaukee United Methodist Church appreciated.
