Richard Warren Owen

Passed away January 26, 2013. Born October 11, 1940 to Warren and Velma Owen. He grew up on his family farm in Owen Valley, before moving to the city of Cudahy. He met and married his high school sweetheart Patricia Bores on October 12, 1963. He retired from Harnischfeger after 45 years.

Beloved husband of the late Patricia Owen. Cherished father of Victoria (Keith) Oman, Michelle (Kevan) Kirk, Erin Owen-Brogni, and Rebecca Owen. Loving son of Velma and the late Warren Owen. Adored grandfather of Amanda (Kaleb) Owen, Alyssa (Dan), Ryan (Katie), Jacob Jordan, Fiona and Bryce Brogni, Benjamin and Jeremy Oman. Great-grandfather of Lillyana Johnson, Isabelle Jordan, and 2 great-grandchildren on the way. Dear brother of Terry (Judie) Owen, and brother-in-law of Larry and Nancy Bores. Nephew of Aunt Rita and Aunt Vi. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Richard enjoyed going up to his cottage, the outdoors, woodworking, country music, and traveling. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved Chewy.

Memorial service Friday, February 1, at 6:00PM at the funeral home chapel. Memorial gathering on Friday from 3:00PM until time of service at the funeral home. Entombment Private, Forest Hill Memorial Park.
