Charles D. Shelmire

He was born in (Abington, PA), son of the late (Ralph and Esther). He was a longtime resident of Horsham, PA. Charles was the Beloved husband of Ruth, married for almost 60 years. Loving father of Bonnie Day (husband Tom ) and Cheryl Bachan (husband Kelvin Sr.). Dear Grandfather of Tammy, Jennifer, Kelvin Jr., Nicole and Danielle, Great Grandfather of Angelina, Damir, and Aleena. He will be sadly missed by his sister Betty Bower, his brother Clarence, his cat Nina, and by all who knew him.

Mr. Shelmire was a retired Milkman (driver), he worked for Lehigh Valley Farms for over 29 years. He was a member of the Army National Guard; Doylestown, PA. He was a former elder at the Grace Presbyterian Church of Horsham, and currently a member of the New Life Church of Glenside. Charles was involved with the Wilson Senior Center in Warminster. He enjoyed Bowling, Working in the Garden, and going to the shore; especially Atlantic City where he loved spending time with his family. Our Best Memories of him are, how he was always shopping for the best buys, every year attending the annual Hatboro Christmas Parade with the family, the Willow Grove Air Show, the 4th of July Fireworks Show, and the gatherings at his parents home with the all of his family and friends.
