Dorothy M. Wilkins of Churchville, Pa. passed away peacefully on Sat. Feb. 16th surrounded by her loving family. She would have celebrated her 90th birthday in March. Dorothy shared 64 loving years of marriage to her best friend and soul mate, Robert who passed away in 2009. They both enjoyed cruising together and socializing with their dear friends of many years.
Dorothy was born in Langhorne, Pa., the daughter of the late Anna May and Deaver Myers. She had five brothers and sisters. Dorothy is survived by her younger sister, Mildred and her husband, Richard.
Dorothy retired from the U.S. Postal Service and both she and Robert volunteered at "The Shriners Hospital for Children." Her life is distinguished by her compassion and generosity. All who knew Dorothy remember her genuine concern for others and her ability to see need and help in anyway possible. She was a special blessing in many of our lives; a warm and steady presence.
She is survived by her two loving daughters, Patricia Valmore (James) and Barbara Blake (Robert). She was the proud grandmother of Michele Mazullo, (Christopher) and Stephanie Meyer, (Stephen), Jason Valmore (Emily). Dorothy was blessed with ten great grandchildren who will forever be her pride and joy.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the "Shriners Hospital for Children" at 3551 N. Broad St. Philadelphia, PA 19140
