Edward J. McCool

Edward J. McCool, age 91 was called home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2018 at Abington Hospital. Edward is predeceased by his parents James A. McCool and Viola (nee Scherz) and was also predeceased by his brother George McCool and his sister-in-law Caroline McCool. Edward proudly grew up in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia. He went to Mastbaum High School. Afterwards he joined the U.S. Army in the 289th Infantry Division. He was a God-loving man who loved his church. He was an

Elder and very much enjoyed singing in the choir and praising his Lord and Savior. His family remembers him as an extremely outgoing, very happy man. He was an accountant and considered a workaholic. Edward is survived by his Devoted wife, Doris E. McCool (nee Black) of 68 years of marital magnificence. He was the Beloved father of Edward S. McCool (Cheryl), Kathleen J. Wojnar (John) and Susan E. Saul (Bruce). His grandchildren Krysten Bernetich (David), Brent McCool (Tiffany), Jennie Bury (Michael), Kimberly Plizak (Christopher), William McCool (Alicia) and Brandon Wojnar loved him dearly as he did them. He also had the privilege of being a loving great grandfather to Andrew and Kira Bernetich and Kaylee and Grayson McCool. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, March 23rd, at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, 659 Street Road, Southampton PA 18966, followed by his funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The Interment will then take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
