Elizabeth J. Meyers

Born on the Delaware Canal on her father’s boat #200 docked in Bethlehem, PA. Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Joseph W. Sr. and Nellie (nee Shaffer) Reed. She lived in Southampton for over 46 years then moving to Anne’s Choice.

Elizabeth was a proofreader working for the Bethlehem Steel Printery as well as Interprint in Bristol, PA. She was a longtime member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Southampton, where she was very active in Aid for Friends. She was devoted to her family and friends, enjoyed gardening, painting and ceramics.

Elizabeth was the beloved wife of the late Carl L. Meyers, married for 49 years. She was the devoted mother of Karen E. (John), Cheryl A.(Dennis), Charles L. (Patricia). She was the loving grandmother of Daniel, Andrew, Brittney, Nicole, and Michael, and loving great grandmother of Carmine. She will be sadly missed by her brothers Wilson, Joseph W. Jr., sister Patricia and all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her brothers George and Richard.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service Friday May 11, 2012 at 1pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Street Rd and Churchville Rd Southampton PA. Friends may call on the family from 12 noon until time of service. Her interment will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA.
