

George S. Davidson, Sr. died on Wednesday, May 2, at the Phoebie Wyncote Home. He was 85 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Samuel George Davidson and Charlotte Quinlan Davidson. George had lived in Harleysville, PA for the past few months. He was formerly a longtime resident of Southampton, PA.
Mr. Davidson was the owner of George S. Davidson Excavating. He was Marine veteran of WW II and the Korean War. During WW II, George served in the Pacific, landing on Saipan on his 18th birthday. He was appreciated by his family and friends for his great sense of humor.
George was the beloved husband of Esther Decker Davidson for 63 years. He was the devoted father to his four children and loving grandfather to his five grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service at 11 AM on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Calvary Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 734 Willow Grove Avenue, Glenside, PA 19038.
