Mark Gerhard Burns

Mark Gerhard Burns of Southampton, PA died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at his residence. He was 51 years of age. Born in New Britain, CT, he was the son of the late Helmut Koch and Sigrid Witz Burns. Mark lived in Southampton, PA for the last 7 months and was previously a longtime resident of Flourtown, PA.

Mark was a former employee of Pumps in Northeast Philadelphia and Allied Concrete in North Wales, PA. Mark was a graduate of Abington High School and a United States Air Force Veteran. He enjoyed time with his friends and family, fishing and was a motorcycle enthusiast.

Mark was the loving brother of Guenther Burns (Hai) of Glenside, PA, Peter Burns (Bernadette) of Southampton, PA and Maxine Vandegrift (Dennis) of Furlong, PA. He is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and 7 nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Saturday, March 26th at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Rd & 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, PA. His memorial service will be at 10:30AM. The interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, PA and is respectfully private to immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rosenfeld Cancer Center of Abington Memorial Hospital, 1200 Old York Rd, Abington, PA 19001.
