Norman (Norm) was born in Lawrence, MA to parents Warren and Julia Brown. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, Lawrence, in 1957. Norman was a 1962 graduate of Northeastern University, Boston, MA earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. After college, he served honorably in the United States Army as part of the Army Signal Corps. Norman was employed for 35 years at Boeing Company, Ridley Park, PA as a Senior Scientist.
Norman’s family was the center of his world, and he excelled as a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Throughout his younger years, he loved working on house projects, playing tennis, and coaching his children’s sports teams.
In his retirement years, he loved helping to care for his grandchildren and grand-dogs, crossword puzzles, and watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles alongside his family.
Norman was a caring, calm, and intelligent man who brought a sense of peace and comfort to all those around him. Norman was a humble man whose focus was always on the well-being and happiness of others. He had unwavering integrity that was evident across all aspects of his life. Norman was affectionately known as ‘Poppy’ to his grandchildren.
Norman was preceded in death by his daughter, Jacqueline.
Norman is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Yolanda (Nanny) (nee Scanlon); son, Norman Brown, Jr.; son, Timothy Brown; daughter Kathryn Greenday (Brian); grandchildren, Matthew Brown (Rebecca), Luke Brown, Anna Greenday, Faith Greenday, and great-grandson, Alexander Brown.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on April 1, 2026 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA 18966, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am.
