My Uncle Paul taught me how to fix a car, how to install a ceiling fan, and how to make a martini.  :)

We shared so many good times on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and any other given day for a 4:00 martini.

I'm glad I got to see you last summer & speak with you on the phone just last month.

Baba, you are already so dearly missed but I am incredibly fortunate to have endless memories to look back on from over the years. Memories of spending summers together in both Pennsylvania and down the shore, memories of enjoying ice cream together - whether it was at Tanners or sitting on the couch watching Jeopardy, memories of being your "co-pilot" on car rides, and even memories of hitting you in the head with an extra large zucchini that you grew in your garden - you put up with me and Yaya's antics that one summer with a lot of patience and a smile on your face... no matter how much of a nuisance I was being. 

Yesterday I visited Yaya and took time to sit on the front porch, thinking back to the many summer thunderstorms we watched together from those same seats, although sometimes you would be "watching" with your eyes closed and arms folded behind your head (ha ha). I think the last time we watched a storm together was the summer that I stayed with you during my first Philadelphia Zoo internship in 2014. You were always so supportive and proud of me throughout college and my career. It has always meant the world to me to hear how proud you were when I landed my job with the giant pandas at National Zoo. Every time we talked you asked me how my "little bear" was doing and told me you watched XYZ interview or video I recently did. I still have the newspaper clipping you mailed to me of the Philadelphia Inquirer's piece on Bei Bei's first birthday, and I will keep it forever. 

The last conversation we had on the phone was when you told me to stop my worrying, enjoy the pandas and that I would see you very soon. I am so thankful that the final words shared between the two of us were "I love you" and "I love you too sweetheart". 

When people have asked me to explain you, it is hard to come up with any words other than "he was the best man in the world." I love you and miss you, Baba.

Dad, Thank you for all of the love, encouragement, and guidance through the years.  I always felt like the luckiest “kid” around, having you as my Dad - You have always been such a loyal, sincere man of great character, all my life, and the one person I could trust more than anyone for unbiased, level headed advice.  I appreciate you, your sacrifice, your generosity, and your love. You are the greatest Dad this kid could have ever asked for.

I love you dearly and I will miss you, every day.  I will miss hearing your voice, saying “Hi Murph” and "Love Ya, Murph” at the start and end of every phone call and conversation.  I will forever hold on to the great memories, the good times, the amazing life you provided to our family.  

I have scoured through old photos, and they have struck such emotions in me bringing tears to my eyes.  Photos from fun times down the shore, crabbing, boating and just being with family; the good times from your 4th of July birthday celebrations; Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving dinners; everyday life as a kid, knowing I was so lucky to be loved by my great parents, and so much more… Remembering some of your famous sayings, “When I get up, everybody gets up!”, “No more livestock in this house!”, among many other things, make me smile.  

Keep smiling, Dad…even in those last conversations we shared, although you were not feeling well, you were still smiling, as we talked about so many memories of days gone by - that sweet cute smile and those heartfelt conversations mean the world to me… 

Please watch over us… please watch over Mom.  I promise to do my very best in protecting Mom and doing what is right, by you, and for Mom.. 

I pray to God that you may Rest In Peace and I am comforted knowing that one day we shall meet again.

Uncle Paul will be sorely missed.  I have countless amazing memories of our summers on Fernwood Road.  The hours spent around the table at our many crab feasts are priceless. 
As an adult, I’d get so excited when I saw the  umbrella up out front. It usually meant he was there and a story and martini would he had that afternoon.  We will always think of  you -especially around the 4:00 hour.  I am forever grateful to have had such a wonderful Uncle and I hope you know how loved you are. Watch over your family . Salut!
