A long-time resident of Southampton, PA, Robert was born on August 1, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, Joseph Drexler and Elizabeth Drexler. Robert graduated from Northeast High School in 1949. He went on to establish a career as an Outside Salesman, working for Edgecomb Steel for over 25 years. Mr. Drexler served in the Navy from 1951 to 1954.
Robert was an avid golfer and was always found on or around the golf course. Robert also loved target shooting at Izaak Walton Shooting Range in York, PA. Cars were a passion of Robert's and he was always working on or involved with car maintenance/remediations with his grandsons. Robert also grew up in LBI, New Jersey, racing sailboats in the Atlantic Ocean. Robert’s pride and joy were his great-grand children, whom he loved spending time with, camping, vacationing and attending sporting events.
Robert was preceded in death by Joseph and Elizabeth Drexler (parents), Joe Drexler (brother), Betty Drexler (sister) and Robert Procz (son-In-law).
Robert is survived by his wife, Yvonne Drexler, his daughter, Margaret Procz, RJ & Nicole Procz, (grandson and wife), Brad and Melanie Procz (grandson and wife), Michael Procz (great-grandson), Arianna Gonzalez (great-granddaughter), Brielle Procz (great-granddaughter) and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing for Robert will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home Inc., 659 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 15, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Mount Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Avenue, York, PA 17403.
