William A Dostmann

William A. Dostmann (Bill) died on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at Lansdale Hospital. He was 98 years of age. Born in Thalheim, Germany he was the son of the late Karl and Martha (Bley) Dostmann. His family immigrated from Germany to Philadelphia in 1926. He was a longtime resident of Lansdale.

Bill was a retired employee of Rohm Haas in Springhouse. He had previously been employed in the textile industry. Bill was a life member of the Vereinigung Erzgebirge in Warminster. During his earlier years in Philadelphia he enjoyed racing homing pigeons. Later, his great loves were Gardening and Ballroom dancing.

Bill was the beloved husband of Helene Dostmann for 53 years before her death in 1989. He was the devoted father of William R. Dostmann (Maria) of Hatfield. He was the loving grandfather of Sharon DeMichele (Richard) and Karl Dostmann; and great grandfather of Amanda and Elizabeth DeMichele.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, January 16th, 2013 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Wm. Rowen Grant Funeral Home, Street Road & 2nd Street Pike (659 Street Road), Southampton, PA 18966. His service will follow at 11 AM.
