Mrs. Gore was born October 19, 1942 in Onslow County, NC. She was a caregiver who had a loving heart. She was a true friend to all her knew her. Mrs. Gore had worked at Ocean Trail Convalescence Center, Harrleson’s IGA, Bald Head Island, and CP&L.
Survivors include her husband William J. Gore, four sons, Eugene Peterson III and wife Christy of Southport, Greg Anthony Peterson Sr. and wife Melanie of Trevor, WI, Joseph C. Gore of Southport, and Chris E. Gore and wife Damita of Portsmouth, VA; a brother Walker C. Frink Jr.; a sister Mamie Esther Frink; eighteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a special niece Jeanette Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Southport with Reverend Brian Monroe officiating. Burial will follow in the Northwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at First Baptist Church.
