Brenda was born June 7, 1946, in Dudley, Missouri; daughter of the late James Lee Roy and Jevetta Wilma Carner Hancock. She grew up and spent most of her life in Michigan before moving to Southport with her daughter. Brenda loved her family, being active, taking long walks, dancing, playing the lottery, the color red, and the number 7, and riding motorcycles. She loved to travel and explore, making friends wherever she went.
Brenda married the love of her life, Herman Jackson, May 28, 1965. He preceded her in death July 28, 2011.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Martin and her husband, Wes of Southport; grandchildren, Nickolas and his wife Ally, Liliana, Skyler "Peanut", Patch, Anna and Penny; her great grandchildren, Atlas and Elowynne; and her cat, Paws.
Brenda was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Hancock.
A celebration of her life will be held on her 80th birthday.
