

Dan was born on August 15, 1947 in Natrona Heights, PA. He was the son of the late Frank Hauserman and Frankie Hauserman. He Graduated from Knoch High School in 1965. Dan served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He retired from Duco Ceramics in 2009. In his spare time he loved tinkering in the shed, enjoying the outdoors, spending time with his family and eating burgers followed by a nice cold beer. In his last years, Dan was known to frequent Southport, NC. His love for the city would shine its brightest when he was giving tours around the city and The North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport, educating the tourists for fun. Dan was a friendly soul, he could often be found chatting it up with random people at any given time and place. His huge heart and zest for life will be forever missed. The world has gained a truly amazing angel.
Dan was a loving husband to Patty Hauserman for 42 years, who he married on June 19, 1981. Loving father to Danielle (Michael) Baumler of Saxonburg, PA, Shane (Nicky) Loso-Velez Graham, NC and the late Milton (Rhonda) Velez Marlinton, WV. He was also a loving Grandfather to Levi Velez, Josh (Whitney) Velez, Corey Velez, Chelsey Velez, Raeleigh Hauserman, Dalton Baumler, Alexis Baumler, Mel Dobbins, and Dean Loso-Velez. He was also a loving great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to Brunswick Senior Resources at Southport Meals on Wheels 1513 N Howe Street Suite 1 Southport, North Carolina 28461.
A celebration of life will be held on a future date in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania.
