My deepest sympathies to you and your family for your loss.  I didn’t know David, but I am a close friend of Holly’s (Hammer).  My prayers and heartfelt thoughts are with you in this difficult time.

Missi ... We are saddened by Dave's passing. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with you and your family. Dave was a great guy who always had a big smile, fun stories and caring heart. Dave will be missed by many.

I was so sadden to get this news.  I was fortunate to work with David on many Leukemia events.  He had incredible energy and even when he found out he had been strickened by the same illness he fought so hard to fight, he continued his fight and his leadership prevailed.  RIP my friend!

       We are heart-broken. We cherish our memories of spending time with David. Being with the Timkos was a highlight of our Village days. David, like no other, lit up a room just by being there. His trademark wide smile, endearing sense of humor, zest for life, and sincere interest in others attracted people to him. When you met David, you liked him instantly. 
       We also have the perspective of knowing how effective an executive David was at our local Easter Seal Society. Staff, volunteers, clients, and donors highly respected David’s solid leadership.
       Know that we are mourning David's loss but celebrating a life fully lived and loved.

Missi- so sorry for your loss.  I always smile when I think of him. Whether he was dressed up as Santa for the kids, coming over on Christmas to play with the new toys or driving down Springstone Drive in a convertible with a beer and singing Achy breaky heart he was always enjoying life.  

I have a lot of fond memories of Dave from what was then Bishop Boyle High School and Steuby U.  He was a true friend and the kind of  person who would always lend a word of encouragement when you were down. Dave is no longer with us but the memories I have of him will live on forever!

My prayers go out to his extended Family and especially Missi, who was also a classmate of mine at Steuby U.

David was such a positive force for so many good things.  Interactions with him always left me feeling a little more optimistic.  Thank you for everything David Timko!  Rest In Peace.

Uncle Dave shared such love and we collected wonderful memories that will carry on in generations. We love and miss you!

Dave and I go way back (grade school/Little League) and our friendship grew over the years, through high school and when he and I worked together in the summer months during college. I still remember him telling me about how he had "flipped" over this pretty little girl from Greenfield.  A year or so later, we had the opportunity to go on a double-date and have a great time with the loves of our lives. Dave and I shared a special bond through sports and although we drifted apart as folks do over the years, we had reunited -- at least electronically -- in recent years, sharing periodic emails, complaining about the Pirates and other such grievances about how the sports world had changed . . . and not necessarily for the better. Just know that I thought the world of Dave and will miss him greatly. He was a first-class guy and I was proud to call him my friend.

Missi, Emily and Lauren. We were so sorry to hear of David’s untimely passing. We have fond memories of our time in LRR when our girls were younger.  David was always a gracious host and the life of the party!  We had some great times. Our hearts are sad for you. May God hold you in his arms in this trying time in the days ahead. 

Since meeting as a freshman in college over fifty years ago Dave has been a special friend. He was a fraternity brother, best man at my wedding and godfather to our oldest daughter. Over the years there are so many great memories from fraternity parties to beach vacations, dinners and fishing trips here is Charleston. Dave was fun loving, entertaining and a blast just to be around. There were so many stories he told that were always good for a laugh even though we had heard them many times before. Cheryl and I will miss him beyond description. Reflecting on my relationship with Dave one of the things I will miss the most is our regular phone calls where we would talk about family, sports, ailments, golf, fishing, music and politics Right now knowing that the phone won't ring on a weekday morning with a call from Dave is hard to deal with. Missi, Emily, Lauren and family can be proud that Dave touched so many people with his sense of humor and engaging personality. He will be missed.   

My condolences on your loss. I knew Dave when I worked at The Wilson Center, we were in adjacent office space.
He was so positive and upbeat all the time and I was glad to have known him.

My sister, Cathy Laughlin, shared the sad news about Dave's passing.  When at Steubenville, I remember him as being so warm and friendly; someone you never forget.  These days will be dark, Missi. David was a wonderfully kind, loving man, who dedicated his life to helping others and to his beloved family. We enjoyed so many wonderful times with David and Missi. I could write pages about David and just sad to hear he is no longer with his amazing wife Missi and his family. I first meet David in 1997 when I joined the Leukemia Ball and he taught me so much about giving back and mentoring me during my time as a Leukemia Ball Chair.  Just the most down to earth, passionate man i had the chance to work with.....thoughts and prayers to Missi and the Timko family

I remember meeting David at a leukemia fundraiser and running into him all across the country, he was always so nice and passionate about raising  money to help find a cure for blood cancers.  His enthusiasm was contagious, money always fell out of my pockets and everyone else's in the room. David made a difference in this world,  his impact on all the families who are dealing with blood cancers is profound, and they are benefiting from his relentless fundraising work in search for a cure.  David was a true union brother and I will always remember him as such. Rest in peace my brother!

I have been golfing with David in our Thursday group for 8 years now.  He was such a pleasure to be with. I don't remember a single moment when he was in a bad mood. Always very positive and upbeat and supportive of his friends. This is a huge and shocking loss for me and for everyone who knew him. He will be missed.

Dear Missi and Family: My sincere condolences for your loss. David is a legend at LLS.   He pioneered so many of the fundraising approaches we use today, building support for cancer patients with grace and charm, a warm handshake and a pat on the back. David’s achievements contributed to tremendous advancements in blood cancer research and in LLS’s ability to provide critical services and support to patients and their families. 

As Matt 's mom and dad,we were privileged to know David and Missy as in-laws.. Meridith and I  met Emily s mom and dad at a wedding shower at their home in Virginia.Both were warm and welcoming...and easy to get to know.David was fun and engaging and we know that his girls and extended family will miss his laugh and loving attitude in all ways. Prayers are with you all.

I have so many pictures I wish I could share and so many things to say about Uncle David that there is just not enough room. He was the life of the party and his laughter always made my heart sing. Wonderful memories Christmas and holidays together growing up and his famous whiskey sours. Family beach trips together and the wonderful time I’ve spent with him since we all landed in North Carolina.   We can never forget the Doo-Rag on the head or his stories of the bums when he would walk Casey Dog with Mac and Mike.  The dinners we would tease him about Polish sausage and all the Pittsburgh stories. I love David and Missi like they were my own parents and am mourning his loss with a sad heart, David was a huge advocate and supporter of me my whole life and an example of what a great man should be. A wonderful husband and father, “pappy,” and uncle…we were all blessed to know him and to have him in our lives. I will always hold David in my heart as will all of us who knew him well.  Words just aren’t enough right now to say what David meant to me and what his loss will mean. But it looks like we have another angel now and I am so grateful to have this amazing family to go through this with. To Missi, Emily, Lauren, Matt, Nick, all the grandkids and to and all of us who are missing him right now - I am holding all of us in my heart and prayers. See you in March to celebrate a wonderful life lived!

Sending deepest condolences to Missi and family. David and I worked together at 2 different organizations. He was a great leader and teacher who truly cared about people. He was always positive and supportive, and when he needed to address problems, he did it with respect and understanding. He made life at work both  fun and interesting, and was vested in everyone’s success. David was one of a kind, and it was an honor to be a friend and colleague for so many years. His loss will be felt around the country and we all have many favorite memories. Rest In Peace David….you always made a difference and will never be forgotten! ❤️

Missi and family, our hearts ache for all of you.  Fran and I were so fortunate that we had the honor of knowing David and spending so many happy times together.   May his memory be a blessing and guiding light to all of you.  

David was a legend here at LLS and all of us that had a chance to work and/or volunteer in his orbit were stronger for it. His legacy will live on with all of us here. He was an extraordinary leader, colleague, and friend.

Our Thursday golf group will miss Dave, he was a true gentleman and fun to be with.  Very sorry for your loss.

David was  a good person, all around. He was a coworker, boss and most of all: friend to me.  When I  hit a rough patch 2 years ago, he check in with me every month.  He  was a true friend and did a a lot of good things in his life. 
I will miss him a great deal.

He was a golfer who always saw the best in people and He will be missed by me and his fellow golfers.
