

David was born August 14, 1953 in Beverly, MA, to Dr. William and Arlene Way.
He grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts, and was captain of both the Lexington High School cross country team and gymnastics team.
David attended Clarkson College where he earned a BS in Civil Engineering before becoming part owner and president of the Civil Engineering company Dresser, Williams and Way, out of Billerica, MA.
David was an avid Boston sports fan and a gifted chef who loved camping and spending time at the family lake house in upstate New York. His love for his family was paramount; he raved about his daughter and grandchildren until his final days. David married his college sweetheart, Nancy, and together they fulfilled their dream of retired life by the ocean.
He is predeceased by his parents and first wife, Elizabeth Larkin, mother of Catherine.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy McBride; daughter, Catherine LaFlamme and husband Peter; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Owen; a sister, Judy Brown and husband Joe; and two brothers, Larry Way and wife Lucia, and Ned Way and wife Joan; nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 9th, 2025 at 11:00am at 801 Ocean Event Center, 801 Ocean Dr., Oak Island, NC 28465.
