Mrs. Kirby was born on August 16, 1926 in Springfield, Massachusetts to the late Adam E. and Edna Dumond Letendre. She married the love of her life, the late Donald H. Kirby, and spent the majority of her life as a devout homemaker and mother. Mrs. Kirby was also preceded in death by a brother, Leon Letendre. She is survived by three siblings Thomas Letendre (Michigan), Claire Formwalt (South Carolina) and Lucille Tatro (Massachusetts). She was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading and walking her dog on the golf course. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sang in their choir.
She is survived by two children, Greg (Alison) Kirby of Southport and Pamela (Dan)Haveman of Fayetteville, Ga.; three grandchildren, Erin (Jeff) Durham, Matthew Haveman and Sandra Haveman; and a great grandchild, Riley Durham.
The family will have a private service.
