Julia was born January 3, 1944 in Alamance County, daughter of the late Melvin Dixon Browning and Ruth Harper Browning. She loved working in her rose garden and produced prize winning roses. Julia raised poodles and had owned her own grooming business. She loved the Lord and loved her family.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charlie Overman; four children, Chuck Overman, Tony Overman, Amy Overman, and Charlene Overman; six grandchildren, Tana, TJ, Amber Rose, Travis, Julia Elise, and Isaac; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren on the way; and her special friends, Donna and Ron. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jesse Overman.
A celebration of Mrs. Overman's life will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Sunday June 5, 2022 in Dutchman Creek Park, 4750 Fish Factory Road, SE Southport, NC 28461.
