Martha Lena Edwards

Formerly of Mocksville, NC, Mrs. Edwards was a Real Estate Broker and worked with real estate for many years. She was born February 22, 1932 of parents Paul Alexander Efird and Janie McClamrock Efird.

She is predeceased by her loving husband, Robert Wade Edwards, also formerly of Mocksville and Oak Island and two sisters, Dorothy Efird Horn and Coleen Efird McGrady. She attended Babcock Business School of Wake Forest University and was a suburb gardener and cook. She was a loving mother and grandmother and survived by her three children, Darrell Eugene Edwards of Southport, NC, Donnie Wade Edwards of Winston-Salem, NC and Susan Edwards Stowers and husband John of Southport, NC, six grandchildren Anthony Edwards, Melanie Edwards Andrews, Christopher Edwards, Heather Edwards, Sarah Edwards Frink and Autumn Stowers, and many great-grandchildren.

A graveside service is planned for the family at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in the New Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1436 Sheffield Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1436 Sheffield Road, Mocksville, NC 27028.
