Mary Dee was born August 2, 1954 at Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, daughter of the late Reese and Dolores Swan. She was a lifelong member of Southport Baptist Church, where she helped start the preschool. Mary Dee was retired from Southport Elementary where she was Teacher's Assistant for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Roger Harrington; two children, Tricia Huggins and husband Bradley, and Rhett Harrington; a sister, Patti Gail Price and husband Dwayne; and many other extended family members.
The family will have visitation on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Southport Baptist Church. Burial will follow the service at Northwood Cemetery.
