Nancy Pittenger

Mrs. Pittenger was born February 9, 1960, daughter of Ann Marshburn Stephens and the late Rogie Stephens. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor. Nancy loved the Cape Fear River and the mountains of North Carolina. She enjoyed traveling and camping with her family. She had a passion for animal welfare and always supported those charities as well as charities for Native American children. Nancy loved life, was full of joy, and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her husband Paul E. Pittenger of Sunset Harbor; her mother, Ann Marshburn Stephens of Wilmington; daughters, Melissa Capps of Asheville, Abbey Britt and husband Robert of Boiling Spring Lakes, and Hayley Pittenger of Southport; sister, Peggy Hinson and husband Victor of Lynchburg, Virginia; grandchildren, Emma and Savannah Britt; nephews, Jeremiah and Joseph Hinson, and their children.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at First Baptist Church of Sunset Harbor. The family will have visitation from 3:00 to 4:00 pm at the church.
