Don was the son of the late Aaron Paul Morton and Anna Pauline Workman. Don was a veteran of the US Navy having served in the Vietnam Conflict aboard the USS Myles C. Fox destroyer. Don was IT Specialist and an avid woodworker.
Survivors include his wife Carole George Morton, a sister Sheila Loy and husband Tommy Loy, a son Robert Paul Morton and wife Ashley Elizabeth Bond Morton, a daughter Tonya Moore and husband Neil Moore, two grandchildren, Beverly Moore Shaw and Christopher Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his Oak Island home.
