Mrs. Rush was born August 6, 1927 in Gaston County to the late Lee and Annie Jenkins. She was raised in Gaston County, having worked in the textile mills until she stopped working to raise her family. She was full of life and had lots of spirit all the way until the end.
Mrs. Rush was preceded in death by her husband James Anderson “Shorty” Rush; a son Billy Brian Rush; two sisters and a brother.
Survivors include her daughter Tracy Rush of Oak Island; two sons, James Anderson “Andy” Rush, and Randy Joe Rush, both of Dallas, NC; a sister Peggy Jenkins of Stanley, NC; eight grandchildren and eight great – grandchildren.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held in the McAdenville Community Center on Saturday, October 15th from 11am - 2pm.
