Robert "Bob" Scherle

Bob was born December 17, 1935 in Little Falls, New York, son of the late Ferdinand and Theresa Scherle. He was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley School of Law and a veteran of the US Navy.

Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Merle Scherle; three children, Christopher Scherle and wife Becky, Elizabeth Iwamiya and husband Robert, and Catherine Oliver and husband Mike; and four grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred Scherle, Al Scherle, and William Scherle; and a sister, Dorothy Kutzuba.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Oak Island Evangelical Presbyterian Church with Reverend Walter Taylor Officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 2, 2025 in the Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in Bob's memory.
