
Robert "Bob" E. Sheahan, Jr., 81, of Jamestown, NC, passed away on September 5, 2023, in Bald Head Island, NC. Born on May 20, 1942, in Blue Island IL, Bob was the beloved husband of Pati Sheahan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lola Sheahan, his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Bill DeVries, his brother-in-law, Dan Gaeta, and his great nephew, Mason Ryan. Bob is survived by his sisters, Sharon Gaeta and Patricia Sheahan, as well as his nieces and nephew, Christine (Don) Pace, Bill (Kim) DeVries, Kathy (Jim) Forgues, Lisa Gaeta and Jennifer Ryan, step-daughter Kim (Bill) Champagne and step-son Bill Smith.
Bob grew up in Riverdale IL, attended Thornton Township High School in Harvey, IL, and went on to pursue higher education at Illinois Wesleyan University, Duke University Law School, and the University of Chicago. He had a successful career working in various locations for the National Labor Relations Board before establishing his own law practice, Robert Sheahan & Associates, in High Point, NC.
In his free time, Bob had a passion for traveling and exploring different parts of the world. He cherished his weekends at his house on Bald Head Island, NC, and spent many summers at his favorite place on Rosa Lake, WI. Bob was known for his loyalty to his friends and maintained lifelong connections with "The Ivanhoe Boys Club."
Bob Sheahan will be remembered for his dedication to his profession, his love for adventure, and his unwavering loyalty to those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A private memorial service will be held to celebrate Bob's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Labor Relations Board or the American Cancer Society in his memory.
