He was born November 12, 1946 in Cumberland County to the late Grady Robert Turner and Hazel Ray Horne. Robert was retired from Kelly - Springfield Tire Company in Fayetteville where he worked for 31 years. He and his wife Sunday retired to Oak Island in 2001. Robert had previously worked at Blue Water Pointe Marina in retirement. He was a bowler and an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Sunday Baker Turner; a daughter, Carey Turner; a son Bryan Robert Turner and wife Dana; three grandchildren, Kaitlyn Turner, Abigail Turner, and Faith Turner; a great-granddaughter, Victoria Turner; and a niece, Lindsey Connelly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Wayne Turner.
At Robert's request and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there will be no services.
