Ms. Rose was a very special part of our beginning in 1985. She played in our wedding. The picture included was given to us by Ms. Rose when our son Joshua was born in February 1987. Her and Mr. Gary were Joshua's Godparents. They have always been very special to us no matter the miles between us. We loved her very much and she did have the most beautiful voice she will be missed. ❤️ We will be praying for you Mr. Gary as you go on each day without her here on this earth. You will be reunited one soon. A promise that God gave us. Happy Birthday in Heaven

Lou and I were blessed to have Rose and Gary as our dear friends.  As Lou was called home by the Lord,  Rose and Gary were there for me throughout my years on Oak Island.  The love Rose shared was truly from her heart.  My memories of Rose are daily blessings to my life.  ❤️

I LOVED Ms. Rose with all my heart. I met her while working at Wilmington Eye in Southport.  I would always make her appointments just before lunch time so she could go to Oak Island Restaurant for lunch (that was our little inside secret).  She was such  a wonderful lady and she loved her husband. They would sit in the lobby and laugh and talk.  Such a beautiful couple.  May her soul rest in peace.

This smile says it all about her. She was the kindest person I'd ever met and I loved to hear her laugh. And sing! She had such a beautiful voice! I can picture her now singing in a heavenly choir with my Mom belting out praises to Our Lord. Her memory is a treasure I will hold on to forever. ❤️

Uncle Gary, Geri , Renee and family... I cannot begin to know or understand completely the terrible hurt you all are going through. Your Rose was one of the sweetest blessings this world has ever known and I am so very grateful for having her in my life. I so enjoyed our summer visits. She confided in me recently how thrilled she was because we were the first ones to call her "Aunt" Rose. Her voice was like music to my ears and I treasured the many conversations I would have with her. So many evenings after work I would call and she would talk with me as I drove home.  She would just be there to listen, to give comfort, a true prayer warrior whenever needed and always there for me. She loved hearing about my children and grandchildren and celebrated lifes joys with me and supported me in tough times. When I lost my momma she was that motherly person I could reach out to. When I spoke with her last we reminisced on our past times together, how much she loved my mother and how she enjoyed all of us girls coming to visit. How terribly much I am going to miss her. My heart is aching as I so desperately had wanted to come see her one last time. I know she is celebrating with our heavenly Father and all of our loved ones who have gone on before us.

I was just a young girl when I met my aunt Rose for the very first time.  I thought then how her name so suited her… Rose.. one of the most beautiful flowers God ever created.  And  my aunt Rose…one of the most beautiful people God ever created!!! .What an amazing woman she was.  I have many fond memories of her.  Distance separated us, but every year my parents made an annual trip to North Carolina to visit with family.  There she welcomed us with open arms and the excitement that only comes when someone is genuinely delighted to have you visit.  I loved her heart, her spirit, her sense of humor, & the stories she told.  Her passing has left a deep wound, but I take great comfort in knowing she rests pain free in the arms of our savior Jesus.  My heart delights as I imagine Jesus reaching for her and saying, “Well done my good and faithful servant.”  Auntie Rose, I love you and look forward to one day hugging you again.  ❤️Donna
