Sharon was born November 5, 1955 in Silver Springs, MD. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina Dental Hygienist program and had worked as a hygienist. Sharon enjoyed walking on the beach and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing and spending her time volunteering and helping others. Sharon loved God and knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Thomas Brent Wilkinson of Columbia, SC; a step-daughter Michelle Douglas of Clayton, NC; two brothers, Leonard D. Adams of Pawley’s Island, SC and Chris K. Gillians of Indian Trail; her step-father James R. Gillians of Charlotte; and two step-grandchildren David Douglas and Robert Douglas.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 in the Peacock – Newnam & White Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charlie Carter officiating. A reception will follow the service in the funeral home banquet room.
