Thomas Edward York

It is with sorrow that I announce the passing of Thomas Edward York. He passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025. Tom grew up in New Milford, Ct and graduated from Bryant University with a degree in business. After college he entered the US Army and served a year in Viet Nam. Upon discharge from the Army, he moved to Boston where he met his wife, Denise, at a bar outside of Fenway Park!! Tom spent most of his career in sales, the greatest time with the OM Scotts company. After retiring Tom and Denise moved to St James in 2007. Before his illness Tom and Denise enjoyed golf, the beach and spending time with their many new friends.

In addition to his devoted and caring wife of 53 years, Tom is predeceased by his parents Tony and Beatrice York, his brother, Anthony York and his two sisters-in-law, Diana Richards O'Neill and Jean York.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Richards York, his son, Michael York and partner Sarah Meuth, and his two grandchildren Archer and Ruby who brought joy to his life for the last ten years. His also leaves his sister-in-law, Donna Richards and several nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of life in the near future.
