Victoria was her family's guiding star and the light of their hearts. She lives on in her husband, Ed, and her two daughters, Rachel and Grace, as well as her five siblings, nephews and niece, grand-pets, and the multitude of people who loved her light. She had a beautiful smile and a laugh for everyone she met.
A true original, Vikki's vast knowledge base and endless array of skills were constantly evolving. There wasn't anything she couldn't teach herself how to do. She loved to garden, sew, embroider, read, do home repairs with her husband, win at Jeopardy, and spend time with her family. She ran her own stained glass business for years, and her gorgeous work endures as a testament to her taste and talent. Her most recent employment was with Sonic Systems Intl. based in Wilmington, NC, as an administrative assistant and she leaves behind many beloved colleagues.
Victoria graduated with honors from Old Dominion University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was selected for Naval Officer Candidate school in Newport Rhode Island. She served honorably as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy from 1977-1983, where she met the love of her life, Ed. They settled in Holly Springs, NC, and started building what became the most beautiful, loving marriage and life together. They had 43 wonderful years together and were best friends. Their love was palpable to everyone who met them, and an inspiration to many. She was the best mother and friend that her daughters could ever wish for, and their rock. A light like Victoria's is rare and irreplaceable. Her love, kindness and beautiful heart will never be forgotten. Her memory will be forever cherished in the hearts of all who loved her.
