William Cade Blake

He was born on May 29, 1940 to the late Edgar Cade Blake and Mary Gertrude Downing Blake in Sampson County, North Carolina.

William proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He served in his community through the Jaycees of Southport. He loved fishing, spending time with family, and traveling. He was a member of Coastal Community Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with his legacy class and church family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Emily Williams Blake; brother, Charles Edward Blake.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, James "Jim" Walker Blake, Robert Michael "Mike" Blake (Diane S Blake); brother, Thomas Blake (Betty Robbins), Benjamin Blake (Beverly); grandchild, Robert William Blake; great grandchild, Brayden William Blake.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Peacock - Newnam & White Funeral Home in Southport, NC at 3:00PM with Pastor Greg Hales officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00PM to 3:00PM.
