William Bradford "Brad" Hilger

July 15, 1979 – September 3, 2025

William Bradford “Brad” Hilger passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. After a courageous battle, his suffering has come to an end, and he is now at rest.

Brad was born on July 15, 1979, to William R. Hilger and Renee Horne Hilger of Southport, North Carolina. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William P. Horne and Jean T. Horne, and his nephew, Tyler Hilger.

Brad is survived by his parents, William R. Hilger and Renee H. Hilger; his brother, Billy Hilger (Gena); and his cherished nieces and nephews: Sydney, Gavin, Keegan, Avi, and Skyla. He is also survived by Martha Horne and Billy Horne (Alleigha), along with extended family and dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Northwood Cemetery, located on Fodale Avenue, Southport, NC 28461, with Brad laid to rest on Elm Street within the cemetery grounds.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude Children’s Hospital, in Brad’s memory.
